Club Calendar

More than just club nights on a Wednesday, throughout the season there are athletics events almost every weekend for athletes to take part in and represent their clubs.

The main categories of these events are

  • Ribbon Days- hosted by other clubs.
    • These cater for athletes from tiny tots (2-3 years) to 14 years. Ribbon Days are aimed at athletes of ALL abilities. They are a chance to make friends, try out new events, and represent your club. 
      • No need to pre-register
      • Pack a picnic, bring the family, enjoy a day out at athletics
      • Wear your club t-shirt/ singlet
      • Clubs are competing for the Dame Valerie Adams trophy
  • GO! Series events- hosted by Athletics Auckland
    • Ages 5-14
    • Pre-register
    • Athletes of ALL abilities
    • Earn points for your club- every run, jump or throw earns points, so the more tries you have the more points you earn
    • Wear club singlet/ tshirt
  • Athletics Auckland Events- relays/ Auckland Champs/ Junior Pentathlon
    • Relay teams are selected by the club
    • Auckland Champs and Pentathlon require pre-entry (and entry fee applies)
    • Wear club singlet
  • McKinnon Shield and Senior Meets- for athletes aged 12+ in year of competition
    • Pre-registration required (entry fee applies)
    • Wear club singlet

      Yvette Williams Track, Pakuranga

      Age Grades 15 years – Masters – Open to all – do not have to be Registered with a Club

      Events at both venues: 100m, Long Jump, Shot Put, 800m

    • Pre season coaching and Have a Go at Mt Smart

      Get Set Go/Run Jump Throw Session for  anyone interested 5 years to 9 year old’s

      Just turn up and assemble on the Track #2 Arena, Mt Smart 9.00am – Noon.

      Also for parents/ coaches working with this age group. 

      Co-ordination skills and sprint races
