Club nights



HJAC holds weekly meetings throughout the season at Hillsborough Park, Carlton St, Hillsborough,
from 5:45pm for a 6pm start. 

A variety of events are run each week including;
 


TRACK
100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, relays and walks.
 
FIELD
Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Put, Discus 

 
It is important that children are on time and ready to participate. The meetings begin with notices and warm-ups. 

Juniors (2-6 years) normally finish by 7pm
Seniors (7-14 years) finish around 7:30pm in order to complete all events.

We ask ALL parents (especially those with children under 7 years of age) to remain and assist in supervising their children and to enjoy the activities they take part in. 
 

CANCELLATIONS 

If the weather looks doubtful please check this website or our Facebook page just after 5pm on Wednesday evenings.

At the end of each club night we provide sausages and drinks for a nominal charge.

FEES 

  • 2-6 yrs = $50.00
  • 7-14 yrs = $55.00 (if registered as a harrier runner in the current season)
  • 7-14 yrs = $90.00 (this includes levies to Athletics Auckland and Athletics NZ)

UNIFORMS 

Uniforms must be worn at all outside events and children are encouraged to wear them on club nights. 
The uniform singlet can be purchased on club nights for only $35.  Adult polo shirts are also available for $35.
Correct age patches must also be sewn onto shirts.

Second hand uniforms and spikes may be available on club nights.  Please ask one of the committee members.

NOTE: The age group the children compete in throughout the season is determined by their age at 31 December each year. 

You will receive an Age patch at the time of registration.
